Subject: need help seting-up kermit

It seems my previous posting was misunderstood. I guess it wasnt too clear.
Ill try to make ammends;
I recently got kermit65 and smartt off the net and tried to run them together
on my 800xl under dos 2.5. But it didnt work out. These are the results of my
experiments:

a) kermit65 without smartt loads and runs fine but the moment it goes to the R:
port it jams. This is expected because
without smartt there is no R: handler.
b) to load smartt I need a mem.sav . I am not really sure what that is. I guess
c) when I create a mem.sav lo, load smartt and then kermit it doesnt work.
d) when I prepend smartt to kermit and turn it into an autorun.sys, it boots loa
loads and then goes into dos. In such not working at all.

COuld someone who has a similar set-up (800xl,dos2.5,xm301) and has get kermit
running please contact me. Or anyone whohas encountered a similar problem do the
same.

I am not sure what it is that I am doing wrong.

BTW I am running the correct version of kermit (kermitnr.com).
