Given the realities of the marketplace it is absurd to think that a company is going to continue to support outdated equipment endlessly when there is a much bigger market using different equipment to which they are pitching their product. If there is one thing you can count on in the computer marketplace it is that if you hold on to your hardware long enough you will eventually find that there is almost no support available for it.
