Windows 386 ver 2.1 and ALR Flex-Cache 386 Problems

I have a friend who just purchased an ALR Flex-Cache and
Windows 386 ver 2.1 for multitasking DOS applications.
Periodically, his machine locks up--as in big red switch time.

He has 3 M-byte of RAM that he bought with the machine on the
special RAM expansion slot board.

I would appreciate EMAIL from anyone familiar with Windows 386
and what may be causing this problem.

By the way, I think he has a big ESDI disk.
