The 286 version doesn't use protect mode. It multitasks (sort of...) in the same way Windows 2.x does, since it is the same. I.e, Windows apps multitask fairly well, but I wouldn't use it as a task manager for non-MSW apps. All 2.x apps will work. --Bill Turner
