However, wouldn't it be appropiate to create a newsgroup for all symbolic math packages (mathematica, maple, macsyma)? I don't know if there's enough traffic to warrant two or three groups and maple/macsyma discussion is likely to end up there anyway. If the group becomes too congested, we can split it up later.
