This problem has to do with the bundle bit being set on the dictionary and thesaurus files. If you look at a "BY NAME" view of your files, you'll see that the Mac thinks they're all dictionary documents. Some simple fixes - 1. Install the upgraded dictionary and thesaurus that you got in the mail from Ashton-Tate a while ago 2. Use something like DiskTools to unset the bundle bit on the dictionary and the thesaurus 3. Put all your FW files in one folder Any of these will work, though #3 is a bit of a kludge. I did #2 long before I got the upgrades from A-T. Worked like a charm...
