This allowed me to then make all of the applications on the hard drives invisible. This was a great boon since what you can't see you can't delete or copy and all that good such (unless you know how, and that is not the case at this stage in the game, it is a closely guarded secret. In fact, to my knowledge the files are still on one drive and I am the only one who knows about them...) and all we do is have a command-shift list next to the computer saying that if you want to use MacWrite hit this and if you want to use that hit this sequence and it all works quite well. So I can say truthfully that Quickeys and General and Mouse and Keyboard will all work without the Control Pannel being installed. Hope this helps answer your question. Mark Cookson
