I received a desk accessory called MacTalker, which is
apparently supposed to produce speech from text in the
clipboard, with a free sample of the Best of Uptime sent
to me for answering a MacWorld promotion.

I say "apparently" because it doesn't work, at least in
my current system configuration (5mb Mac II, 6.0.2).
When I loaded it into my system under MultiFinder, it crashed
the system every time I called it. When I reloaded it under
the Finder, it doesn't do anything at all when called but
at least doesn't crash anything else.
