Specifically, I would like to know what your hardware and software setup is and what you use the scanner for. The primary use I'm thinking about is for scanning figures from journals (like graphs, figures, photos) to be included in reports but I'm also interested in OCR packages like Omnipage. Some of the issues I'm interested in are: (but not limited to) minimum computer configuration (ie do you need a Mac II for the speed) software packages and RAM requirements by these packages which paint/draw type programs accept PICT/TIFF formats.
