Yes, indeed, delta hardbound editions are a pain. However, I think that Apple has done a pretty good job of making them only a minor pain. I'd like to see a revised IM with the machine-specific stuff integrated, and with them tastefully indicated. Most of the stuff in inside mac is correct, so the integration would be pretty simple, if you ask me. Certainly no harder than releasing a full-blown application 8->. I think the bound volume/frequent tech notes combination is a good one, especially if Apple does a better job of indexing. What's intriguing is the possibility of a CD-ROM version, with regular updates. It might even be worth springing for an Apple CD to have instant access to IM. -Bill
