APDA, a non-profit organization that supplies services and products to Apple programmers and developers through a monthly catalog and mail-order service, has been locked in negotiation with Apple for almost a year, said APDA spokesman Frank Catalino. The result, revealed last week, is a takeover that will be gradual and seamless. ... Just what Apple has in store for the hard-won developer services organization remains uncertain, although some sources have speculated that it will exclude third-party products from its offerings and provide only Apple products. A Nov. 7 issue of the APDAlog newsletter will outline in detail the terms of the agreement and what kinds of support APDA members can expect from both APDA and Apple in the coming months.
