Ah well, I guess it's time to spring for a new copy. :->. One piece of info about the index: there's a book put out by Apple/A-W called "Inside Macintosh X-Ref" which indexes all 5 volumes of IM, Tech notes thru '87 I think, and about 3 other new tech references put out by Apple. It's about $10 over here. Of course it's not completely up to date, but it might be helpful to you.
