Lines: 24 can anyone out there fill me in as to the status of MacsBug v6.0 and ResEdit 1.2? I know they are no longer "free" as they once were, but is it possible to buy a site license from either APDA or Apple? Here at the university of michigan several faculty members and students use our public macs for programming & have expressed interest in getting Macsbug loaded on our hard disks. $12 per machine is a bit steep for 350 machines. Having users load Macsbug off of check out disks is also a non-workable plan due to system folder isolation, etc. I friend of mine who is a developer in town mentioned a $100 per year site license per program as if it were the policy, but APDA denies all. The university already subscribes to the System software licensing plan (so we can put 6.0.2 on everything) and we even get "free" HyperCard updates. If MacsBug doesn't fall into the realm of System software it should. (obviously things like SADE don't) can anybody out there help clear this up. -dave -- Dave Falkenburg @ University of Michigan Computer Aided Engineering Network ARPA: falken@caen.engin.umich.edu UUCP: umix!caen.engin.umich.edu!falken
