This is a very good, careful attitude, and is to be applauded. Impression is everything. Still, Telebit and Sun and a few others seem to have found a happy medium where nobody feels like they are intruding. Some of their folks are able to make constructive contributions with otherwise unavailable information (e.g. Guy Harris on Sun tty driver guts) without raising hard feelings. It would be nice if occasional controversies here could be settled with real, authoritative information. Just the critical tidbit, without marketing hype. I wonder if it would work?
