   To those of you who were getting "segment violation" when you tried
to delete mail under Elm 2.1 I received a very helpful hint from 
n3dmc!johnl to compile everything *without* the -O option in the 
Makefiles's. I did this and it has performed flawlessly now for a 
couple days. The binaries ended up being slightly larger, but it 
works like a champ.
