If you check a little closer, the 386 system is probably the older 16mhz type. You see, you can buy a 16mhz 386 motherboard for around $1000.00 +/- $100.00 nearly anywhere. Dealer costs on 20 mhz motherboards, in single quantity, is around $1320.00. If they purchased many 16 mhz boards, I am sure they got them at a much lower price. With this all in mind, I guess they could just make such a deal. If I were you, I wouldn't pay for anything in advance, though! I have never heard of the company that you mentioned but it sure sounds like a pretty good deal. Sanford Zelkovitz P.S. You may also want to check on how much they want for additional memory since yu will need it to run Xenix along with VPiX. On my system, I had to increase my memory size to 4.5 megs for reliable operation.
