In recent days it has begun to listen but fail to talk, that is -- for example -- I can log in on our mac and run all sorts of things (monitored by 'ps' on the AT console) but nothing is echoed on the mac. The same behavior occurs logging on with a new laptop. Is this a well-known geriatric ailment of ibm-serial-boards or is it likely that I'm missing something in xenix. This port has worked fine for years (2 atleast) and stty >/dev/console indicates that all seems well (superficially). Any suggestions most welcome ... Roger Koenker koenker@uxe.cso.uiuc.edu
