Keywords: Bad sectors - Time out Message-ID: <529@imec.UUCP> Date: 26 Oct 88 09:25:35 GMT Reply-To: croes@imec.UUCP (Kris Croes) Organization: IMEC, INTERUNIVERSITY MICROELECTRONICS CENTER, BELGIUM Lines: 21 Hello Netland, I have 2 questions. Answers could be in the manuals, I know, but probably I looked over them. Q1: Is it possible to install a time-out on the hard disk, just like as a floppy gives a time-out when there is none inserted. How do you manage it? Q2: How do you catch bad sectors on floppies? Variant: is there something like /etc/badtracks for floppies. Thanks for all reactions Kris. -- -------- K.
