Message-ID: <3257@sdsu.UUCP> Date: 7 Nov 88 22:07:04 GMT Organization: San Diego State University, Math/Sciences Dept. Lines: 21 Over the past months I have been working on a fast graphics device driver for Xenix 2.2.2 on my 386 box. (I think the CGI stuff is WAAY too slow!!!) All is well except that I cannot seem to change the colormap of the EGA card reliably. I have looked in many EGA books and have looked at many code samples in both assembler and C, but none work when I put them in the device driver! I can change the map from within VP/ix without any problem. If any of you know how to accomplish this task, please let me know! Pointers are welcome as well. As soon as I figure out how to change the map, finish my serial mouse driver, and if there is enough interrest from the net, I will post the graphics device driver. --Andrew ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~T~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I sometimes get the feeling that | Andrew Scherpbier things cannot possibly get worse...| Mathematics Department and sure enough, they do." | San Diego State University --Don Perkins Jr. | ihnp4!jack!sdsu!turtle!andrew
