Having just recently installed X11R3 on a Microvax II running Ultrix
2.3, I find that xinit is acting strangely.  All seems ok until i kill
a window (any window) by exiting the csh with "exit",.  When i do this,
X seems to die, going to an all black screen, and then refreshing to 
an all grey screen with an X cursor, but no options.

If i rlogin and kill the X process running, I am left with a login
promot on the console. 

In the process, the system is "reinitialized" not rebooted.  All users
get logged off and the syslog says "reinitialized"...

this is with a bare "xinit" which should leave me with an xterm, and
upon exiting tha xterm, should leave me still logged into the console
with a dumb terminal session.   

any ideas??  thanks..
