The contrib dist. is a little better than it was with R2, but that doesn't say too much :-( But remember that the X Consortium people never claimed anything about the contrib stuff. I imagine most of the complaints will be about the same though (about contrib that is). xdm is nice. I haven't used it for anything but a Sun console. There are some security questions that come to mind, but I will leave those till after I have played with it more. (Especially since people are in a "security hysteria" mode nowadays :-) Hats off. mtr
