These are not bugs, but are definitely a limitation of GNU in my mind. Under UNIPRESS Emacs I have two capabilities that I depend on and does not seem to be support (easily) under GNU. I would appreciate any help. 1. UNIPRESS remembers the last file editted within a directory and its editting position so that I can type "emacs" at the prompt and I come up in my previous session. Can't seem to find this anywhere in GNU. 2. I have (unfortunately) a VT220 terminal and I am used to have my ESC key on the upper left of the keyboard, and this terminal doesn't have it there, the '`' is there instead. Under UNIPRESS I could just tell it that another ESC key is the '`' key and I could go on my happy way. Otherwise, I am quite pleased with the GNU stuff. thanks for your help dale lancaster Convex Computer Corporation
