Bob Kukura suggested I make sure the links to gcc-crt[01]+.o exist in
/usr/local/lib.  Having double checked that they do, here's what happens
when I try to run test0:

make -k test0
install -c dummylibg++.a /usr/local/lib/libg++.a
ranlib /usr/local/lib/libg++.a
g++ test.hello.o -o test0
ld: relocation address out of range in /usr/local/lib/gcc-crt0+.o
*** Error code 1
