I would suggest that these two people should get together and attempt to
to a dual-hosting (if it is possible).  Since there is such interest and
volume it might be a good idea to split the list between both of them.  

An additional thought might be to start up a secondary mailing list, devoted
to security for a user as opposed to security for a system.
