A good idea ... 'course I thought this was implicit in the first place...
at soc.singles Boinkons the techie talk is very minimal -- but I was only
at ChiBoink, which makes for one and not a large sample space, but I
expect it is generally true. I remember at one bar two guys were seriously
talking about Empire (a complex game) in an annoying way so everyone
kind of ignored them for a while (they were in their own little world).

P.S. as luck would have it, tonight's Watpub is at RPM (a Watpub is
a weekly "pub" which moves to a different bar every Wednesday night
where lots of U. Waterloo students show up -- it's even listed in the
phone book [a recording of where the next one is])
Should be a good time, it always is at RPM.
