I am specifically interested in machines which share a large common memory in a finely interleaved way, machines such as the BBN butterfly for which you have to lay out your data in seperate memories either by hand or using vendor supplied library calls are a no go. The processors may have local memory, either implemented with coherent caches or as stack memory for individual processors. I am looking for systems for which prices would range from 50K and upwards, depending on the number of processors and memory size ordered. If any one knows of a suitable source of such hardware which has been announced, or is about to be announced, I would appreciate a pointer sent via email. If there is interest I would be happy to post a complete compiled list to the net. Thanks, Eugene brooks@maddog.llnl.gov, ...!{sjsqnt,sequent,lll-lcc,lll-crg}!maddog!brooks but our main mail hub lll-crg has had its password file razed in response to the VIRUS and is not yet fully restored for all uucp connections. UUCP through lll-crg may be unreliable for a while.
