I am new to this group, and would like some help with using binariese on my computer. I'm a student at RIT, and we are running BSD 4.3 Un*x. I have gotten several binaries from the net, and I'm stuck as to what to do next. I tried to uudecode one, then download it to my PC-compatible with kermit. After uudecoding, the file had a .arc extension. I tried to use it on my computer with no luck whatsoever. What am I doing wrong? What should I do with these binaries on the Un*x system? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please mail to me, or post if you feel it is important to the net.
