I am evaluating a database which is portable on both IBM compatible AT  PC'S
(MS-DOS) and on UNIX workstations .Features I am looking for in a Database 
are as follows :

1. PERFORMANCE

2. EASE OF USE

3. INTERFACE TO 'C'

4. RECOVERY

5. GROWTH CAPABILITY

6. SUPPORT


I would like some advice on which of the Database package(ORACLE or INGRES)
is better suited to meet the above criteria features .
