Lines: 17 What I said was misunderstood. I thought 1400/second in one direction, 100 in the reverse was clearly a description of simultaneous transmission, something the trailblazer doesn't do at this time. If I had meant turnaround, I would have said, 1400/second in one direction, 1400/second in the reverse, but not at the same time. It should be possible to get a modem that is significantly greater than 960/second in one direction and SIMULTANEOUSLY something like 50 or 100 bytes/second in reverse. (Clearly it must also be able to reverse.) This would be superior to V.32 for almost every application I have ever encountered. The counter examples are far from common. As long as V.32 is not the limit, it will not rule the world. -- Brad Templeton, Looking Glass Software Ltd. -- Waterloo, Ontario 519/884-7473
