The University of Arizona is requesting proposals from modem manufacturers
and vendors to provide (1) a standard for the next two to five years
for modems which operate at speeds from 4800 to 19.2K bps (2) a list
of equipment which meets the standard (3) a list of vendors of the
equipment and (4) information on service and support vendors.  

Interested parties should write "The University of Arizona Purchasing
Department, Tucson, Arizona, 85721" and ask for a copy of Request for
Proposal 990-88.  Please do not write to me; this could end up
disqualifying you from bidding.
