I have some emacs start up files that set up the Sun console right keypad for me in emacstool - the standard stuff, just using the arrows etc. If I fire up emacstool from shelltool window every thing works fine but if I start it from the console window emacstool has problems interpretng the keypad. If I use the arrow keys in this case it inserts a capital A, B, C or D. Using describe-key on the arrow keys I find that emacs sees the Esc-[ part of sequence the keypad arrow sends but not the rest of it. Again - there is no problem if emacstool is started from shelltool, jsut from command tool. Jerry Freedman, Jr jfjr@mitre-bedford.arpa
