Message-ID: <22106@cs.tcd.ie> Date: 10 Nov 88 16:08:33 GMT Organization: Computer Science Department, Trinity College Dublin Lines: 13 I'm about to start on a rather nebulous project which involves manipulating and rendering 3-D landscapes. I would be most grateful if someone could give me some advice or references in the following areas: (i) Specialised algorithms for manipulation of wire-frame representations of landscapes (ii) Specialised rendering algorithms for gridded height maps (Digital terrain maps), most especially hidden line, hidden surface and ray-tracing Also, I came in on the MTV Raytracer discussion a bit late. Can someone tell me something about this program? I saw from one of the recent messages that it was to be found on uunet. I can't get it from there, according to the local net guru. Could someone send it to me?
