Message-ID: <3570@pt.cs.cmu.edu> Date: 12 Nov 88 23:59:12 GMT Organization: Carnegie-Mellon University, CS/RI Lines: 22 I've run into a problem sending mail to Irish sites (e.g. mevax1.tcd.ie) via mcvax. I used to use mcvax!mevax1.tcd.ie!user@uunet.uu.net and everything was OK (I believe the message went from mcvax to ukc and thence to iclitc (or whatever the Irish backbone is)). Now, the problem: just the other day I had a message bounced by ukc, who apparently are only forwarding mail from 'authorised' users. My question, therefore: is ukc the only gateway to Irish sites or does there exist such that mcvax!!mevax1.tcd.ie!user@uunet.uu.net will do the trick? Any advice gratefully received!
