After dr. Tanenbaum's announcement of BIOS-based device drivers I have
a question:
Will the drivers become slower ?
I do not know much about the BIOS, but I think you will lose some performance
if you use some software interface. Directly accessing the hardware
(as it is done currently) seems the fastest way there is.
