I noticed that in_cksum.c is in netinet/ instead of machine/. Am I correct in assuming that I should NOT install the portable version, but rather stay with the vax-optimized one I already have? I'm also assuming that these mods should just drop in to both my MtXinu Vax and my Suns runing SunOS-3.5.2. Yes? Or does 3.5.2 already have Van Jacobson in it, in which can I need not bother? I suspect the latter might be the case since we already get far better ftp performance over a serial link from our Suns than from our Vax (i.e. 80% of the 64 kbps theoretical bandwidth available instead of 10-15%). -- Roy Smith, System Administrator Public Health Research Institute {allegra,philabs,cmcl2,rutgers}!phri!roy -or- phri!roy@uunet.uu.net "The connector is the network"
