Thanks for the reply!  So much for my followup article about
how kremvax didn't get infected because the KGB had not only disabled
sendmail's debug option but had removed sendmail entirely as a security
threat.

(Another possibility would have been that kremvax ran neither Ultrix or
MORE/bsd 4.3 on its VAX, but rather MS-DOS.  Muscovite Socialist DOS?)
