       I have an Amiga 500 with an LA50 printer, and a driver that comes
with it - well it does not come WITH it but I am on leave from DEC and
that's where I got it from. The trouble with that driver is it wouldnt
print foreign characters, although the printer would it properly driven.

       It does print graphics though, although very slowly. But I got
a copy of WordPerfect recently -v4.1- and I can't seem to find any
reference to the LA50 which is not surprising. Apparently, WordPerfect
allows you to cheat the printer by mapping character strings to ascii
codes, such as <letter> <backspace> <quote> to accentuate a letter.

     the question is does anyone know a relative of the LA50 that would
be close enough to use with WordPerfect ?
