I am interested in playing around with weather map pictures i.e. radar
images, satellite photo's on my amiga. So far I have found out that these images
can be plucked out of the ether(with the correct ham hardware >$1000)
or downloaded from compuserve in GIF format.  Since I don't plan on
doing a lot of this spending a $1000 dollars seems a bit much. Does
anyone know of a program which converts four-color GIF format images to
IFF(ILBM) images? If not does anyone know where I can obtain a 
description of the GIF format.
