I think that the problem might be that you are sending carriage returns directly
after the Control D's. Try something like this

10 Print CHR$(4);"PR#1";CHR$(9);CHR$(23)

If not, then try looking in your printer card manual for info on tabbing. I
don't own an SSC (I got a Dumpling GX) so I'm not sure how they handle tabs.
