I just downloaded some files from compuserve using xmodem
and kermit, and they seemed to arrive ok...ie when I look at
them with the view file option in my telecommunicaitons
program, they seem to list ok.

My problem is that as text files of programs, they need to
be exec'd.  When I try to exec them, I gett a number of
beeps following each ], but the program does not load.  I
brought back a number of files (updos.exe and dwndos.exe)
that I need to be able to do the binary conversions, but am
beat unless I want to retype them.  Has anyone else
encountered such problems, and are there any solutions aside
from re-entering the full programs?
