When you are making a Binary // file, it wants a directory for the source, but a FILENAME, not a directory, for the destination. So if you wanted to make some files into a Binary // file called TESTFILE.BNY on your /disk.2/ volume, you would type /disk.2 for source and /disk.2/TESTFILE.BNY for destination. When you put in /disk.2/ for destination, you're telling ProDOS that you want to replace the volume directory on /disk.2 with the Binaryy // file (never a good thing to do... :-) ); the volume directory already exists, of course, so the MLI returns the "Duplicate Filename" error.
