Hi, (just to start out on am informal note)
     Regard the backup of FAT tables to prevent loss of data when
being hit by a virus or a Trojan Horse as only a minimal backup
since any really pseudo-clever type of virus writer could easily
just start formatting tracks on the hard-drive.  Thus the FATs would
go in less than a second and data would be wipe out until you rebooted
the machine.  So, just go ahead and backup your data to be safe.
