     After much weeping and gnashing of teeth I have succeeded in getting
LaTeX running, in all its splendour, on my 1040ST.  I hope I haven't
re-invented the wheel.  If you want to get LaTeX going yourself, just
send me some mail (wsflinn@violet) and I will be happy to package it
up and upload it to my account ... or meet you in person to arrange a
disk exchange (or something).

     I have not yet got DVIST (does _anybody_ here?), the ST screen
previewer for .dvi files, but I have some leads.  I will post another
message if/when I get that going.
