There is a small TSR program named SNIPPER that was published by PC-Magazine
earlier this year that does exactly what you want.  I use it regularly.
The Hot-Key is ALT-W.  When pressed, you are given a cursor to mark the
area of the screen to print/save.  After marking, a popup menu lets you
save to a file, print to printer, or store in a buffer for recall into
your word processor.
