Although it seems like it would be easy to do, the EGA card uses different scan frequencies that would make both EGA and NTSC (regular) video output a bear. The only way to use the PC for char- acter generation is to get a CGA card (bleah!) which does have composite output. The only consolation is that they're cheap now -- you can get one for under 30 bucks if you look hard enough. That's how I do my video titling.
