I have a question regarding the ROM containing the character set on the
monitor card.   
I would like to replace some of the standard ascii characters with other
ones. So I went ahead and got a ROM with these special characters, however
it turned out that this ROM is not compatible
with mine. ( I have an hercules compatible card). So I was wondering if
I can custom make a ROM by combining the original ROM with the specialized
ROM and create yet, a third ROM which will have what I want.

Gee, I sure hope this is clear.

So, does anybody have any idea how to approach this?
I have an access to Norton Utilities and to a ROM 'burner'.
