	This is not true, David.  Acutally what happens is that all cdevs have
a resource of type mach which tells the Control Panel on which machiens
to bring it up on (ie. it makes no sense to bring up the monitors cdev
on a MacPlus).  Map and Sound are set with a value that tell them not to
come up on the older machines.  If you go in with ResEdit and change the
value of the mach resoure to FFFF0000 then they will come up on your
machine too...

	I believe that it is the Sound cdev and not the Sound Manager....
