If you read the manual, somewhere it explains that the LQ uses (this is from memory, not rereading) triple font sizes and scales them down. It also, if I recall correctly, suggests that under some circumstances characters will print too close together and you, the user, will have to insert space to make up for it. Not a very good state of affairs, but at least they warn you. Steve Goldfield
