The scenerio is that we have a data products printer connected to a SUN that we use heavily in CAD. We don't want to move the laser printer onto appletalk without real good reason. Even though appletalk is ~234kbs and appears to be faster than a 19.2kbaud connection, the processor gets so busy it has to use flow control anyway. We would like to rely more on the ethernet and not have to worry about appletalk at all. Please respond to me directly as I do not read this newsgroup regularly. We are using the TOPS software/NCSA Telnet with a Kinetics fastpath box. Thanks in advance John Matthews
