In old days when everyone had 9 inch screen, software developers were careful to put everything fit into small Mac displays. That doesn't seem to be such a golden rule these days, though. Suppose you use Macromaker and On Cue under Multifinder, that fills up entire menu bar on screen. Then suppose you decide to open a DA into the application partition (such as Guidance for PageMaker help files), then you are bound to have a menu that doesn't fit into original Mac screen. I like Mac interface a lot (as someone pointed out, choosing menu item from the top of the screen is a lot easier than actually pointing out a menu from middle of the screen -- I didn't think about it when I posted the previous article), but I find myself several times to ResEdit and shorten menu names in order to make my menu bar into the screen :-( One way to solve problem is using hierachical menu, but I don't like it although I like that concept. It seems to take a little more time for me to select an item under hierachical menu (I haven't tested it, yet I feel like it). Maybe it is a price to pay in order not to clutter up the menu bar and the actual menu items. I like this discussion. Have you noticed that no one has flamed anyone else when many articles have been posted already?
